2021 Aston Martin Vantage James Bond 007 Edition 1 owner 690 km First delivery Germany incl. Vantage skis and ski holder Foliation of the front car at Aston Martin Sold with fresh inspection A detailed description will follow shortly.

In August 2020, Aston Martin’s bespoke division – Q by Aston Martin – announced the production of limited “007 Editions” of the firm’s Vantage and DBS Superleggera coinciding with the planned release of the 25th James Bond film, No Time to Die. Aston Martin, whose vehicles have been seamlessly intertwined with the Bond franchise since the appearance of the DB5 in the 1964 film Goldfinger, revived a multi-decade partnership with Eon Productions to bring 007-inspired styling ques to their two flagship models.

The example presented here is one of just 100 Aston Martin Vantage 007 Editions produced for the world market. Playing homage to the Vantage’s Bond debut, the 007 Edition draws its inspiration from the “winterized” Aston Martin V8 Vantage featured in the 1987 film The Living Daylights. The film sees Bond, played by Timothy Dalton, smuggle a Russian spy across the Austrian border, utilizing the car’s lasers, missiles, and extendable ski runners to evade KGB agents. Evoking this snowy scene, the Vantage 007 Edition could be ordered with a set of The Living Daylights-inspired limited edition skis and ski rack. Other references to the brand’s classic V8 were found in the 007 Edition’s bespoke mesh grille with a chrome bezel and silver 20-inch forged wheels.

Like the iconic movie car, all 100 examples of the 007 Edition were finished in understated Cumberland Grey and adorned with dashed yellow diffuser accents referencing the hazard stripes on the Bond car’s ski runners. The film references continue upon close inspection of the car’s Obsidian Black leather-trimmed interior, which is stitched in the same vertical pattern as Bond’s V8 Vantage. Embroidered in the sun visors is a radio station frequency – 96.60 (FM) – which 007 fans will remember was the Russian police frequency Bond used to aid his escape in The Living Daylights. In addition to unique “007 Bond Edition” badging throughout the cabin, a laser-engraved plaque hosts dummy controls for missiles, lasers, and self-destruction as a final nod to the film.

This highly-optioned, left-hand drive Aston Martin Vantage 007 Edition is believed to be one of approximately 30 examples specified with a seven-speed manual transmission. The car also boasts optional carbon ceramic brakes, carbon fiber hood louvers, and the all-important Vantage 007 skis with ski mounts. Ordered new via Aston Martin Düsseldorf, the car wears dealer-installed paint protection film on the front end and shows a mere 660 kilometers on the odometer at the time of cataloging. Born from what is perhaps the most iconic relationship between an automaker and film franchise in cinema history, this showroom-fresh Aston Martin Vantage 007 Edition would make an outstanding addition to any discerning Aston Martin collection.
